7 Offline Marketing Strategies that Support Your Online Brand

7 Offline Marketing Strategies that Support Your Online Brand

For many professional services firms, online marketing has become front and center over the last five years, Why? It can be easily measured and is often less expensive than traditional marketing.
But that doesn’t mean there aren’t still plenty of offline marketing techniques that can help build and support your firm’s brand. In fact, truly effective marketing strategies tend to take advantage of both online and offline initiatives to create a well-rounded, multi-faceted approach.
When done together as part of a complete marketing strategy, offline and online marketing techniques can even support and amplify the other’s efforts. So, let’s take a look at seven of the most effective offline marketing strategies and how to integrate them into your current marketing strategy.

1) Networking

Face-to-face connections are still a valuable form of networking and can help drive traffic to your website when your new connections are inspired to learn more about you and your firm.
Being able to put a face to the name can help create a deeper sense of brand loyalty among your buyers, so don’t discount the importance of a good, old fashioned handshake. Make your own opportunities for in-person networking by joining local chapters of associations or organizations where your target audience is likely to be found.  Over time, this networking can be augmented with attendance at national conferences for those same associations/organizations.

2) Speaking Engagements

In-person speaking engagements are a tremendous marketing opportunity for a number of reasons. First and foremost, a speaking engagement puts you in front of a highly targeted and interested audience that is already primed and ready to pay attention to what you have to say.
Speaking engagements are also a great way to build credibility and establish thought leadership within your firm. According to our surveyed Visible Experts, speaking engagements are the second most popular way that Visible Experts obtain leads.
However, finding and securing speaking engagement opportunities may be a challenge if you’re just starting out in your journey to thought leadership. Try starting small with local associations and don’t be afraid to say yes to unpaid opportunities. Chances are, even your earliest experiences will pay off in the long run.

3) Print Publications

While you won’t give you the same SEO benefits as an online link back to your website, print publications still have a valuable place in offline marketing. Obtaining relevant placements in industry magazines and journals will help increase your brand visibility and showcase your expertise. Include print opportunities as part of your blogger outreach strategy and keep an eye out for opportunities to appear in both an online and print version of a publication.
However, don’t seek out print publications just for the sake of it. Just as with your online publications, you need to be selective. Make sure the publications you choose are relevant to your target audience and a reputable source of information.

4) Direct Mail

Even though direct mailers are more costly than online marketing, they can still be an effective lead generating tool. Some members of your target audience may appreciate receiving direct mail because it seems more personalized.
And the practice of sending direct mail for marketing purposes is far from extinct. In fact, some members of your target audience may actually prefer direct mail communication to any other method of online communication.

5) Cold Calls

Similarly, cold calls have that personal touch that often resonates with interested buyers. Phone calls are more personal than emails and demand an instant response – which can be both good and bad.

Just make sure you have a concrete reasons for why you’re reaching out and be mindful of your phone call recipient’s time. Cold calls are also a great way to reach out to potential marketing partners about a collaboration opportunity, like hosting a webinar or producing content together.

6) Print Advertising

Along the same lines as publishing an article in a print publication, running print advertisements is another method for getting in front of more potential customers.
However, it is significantly more difficult to track the return on investment for print advertising than it is for online ads and they can often be more expensive to run, so consider your options carefully.
Print advertisements are best positioned in highly targeted publications where you can guarantee members of your target audience will see your ad. If possible, include a URL or a QR code in the print advertisement to send visitors to the landing page, which will help you track these campaigns better.

7) Associations and Trade Shows

Consider attending trade shows where you can network with other industry leaders and prospective buyers. Trade shows can provide a great opportunity to put the most effective offline marketing strategies in practice. In addition to in-person networking, you can also pass out print materials and perhaps even get the opportunity to be a featured speaker.
Luckily, there’s no need to choose between offline and online marketing strategies. Offline marketing strategies don’t need to take the place of online marketing strategies or vice versa.
Instead, offline techniques can be used to supplement online marketing efforts to make your firm’s marketing strategy as a whole more robust. The combination of both approaches can bring your marketing full circle by increasing your firm’s visibility and bringing more attention to your online brand.

Today when I was checking my Inbox I got this mail from Service Paypal saying that, ” Your account has been limited until we hear from you.”. And when I open the mail it seems to be a phishing page from hackers to steal my login details.

paypal scam 2

So how do you find a spam/phishing mail from hackers?
1. Look at the address of mail sender. When you receive a mail from Paypal look what is write after “@”. It must be “paypal.com”.
2. Look out for text errors in the mail. In official mail from Paypal you wont have any errors.

3. If you still don’t find the above 2 options and you open the link given by them, then check out for the URL, it should be “paypal.com” or “paypal.co.uk” or “paypal.in” depending upon the country or where you live. As you can see from the image given below shows “qaypal .co.uk” which is not official one and its a phishing page to get users login credentials.

This is what you get when you click “Login Now” link from your email

On This Day In 1948, The State Of Junagadh Voted To Join India And Not Pakistan

map

Once upon a time, Junagadh was an eminent princely state in India. However, today it's a tiny town lost somewhere in Gujarat with lots of forts, and vintage structures residing inside it.

After the partition of India and Pakistan in 1947, the Indian government made consistent efforts to persuade the Nawab of Junagadh, Muhammad Mahabat Khanji III, to accede to India but he did not agree. India even thought of threatening him in case of denial. But the Nawab wanted to join Pakistan. His argument was that Junagadh, even though surrounded by Indian mainland from 3 sides, could join Pakistan by sea.
On 15 September 1947,  Jinnah approved and counter signed Junagadh’s instrument of accession. On the other hand, the Indian government tried to keep things calm, and tried persuading the Nawab to change his decision. Government Secretary  V.P. Menon sent a message to him to withdraw its accession to Pakistan. However, the Nawab passed on the responsibility to the government of Pakistan.
Things got worse while trying to solve issues with Pakistan. That’s when India decided to shut all its borders  to Junagadh stopping the movement of goods, transport and postal articles. Unable to handle a worsened situation, the Nawab and his family left Junagadh and arrived in Karachi on 25 October 1947.

Realising the critical situation, the Chief Minister of Junagadh wrote to Pakistan. In response, the Nawab authorised Bhutto to act in the best interests of the Muslim population of Junagadh. He decided to initiate peace talks with India and requested the Indian Government to take over the administration of Junagadh to protect the lives of its citizens.
On 24th February, 1948, a plebiscite was held in which 99% of the predominantly Hindu population of Junagadh voted to join India.
According to History TV, Pakistan took up the accession of Junagadh with UN Security Council. But the vote was largely in favour of India with 190,870 people voting to join India and only 91 voting in favour of Pakistan.
In July 2001, grandson of the princely state of Junagadh, Nawab Mohammad Jahangir Khanji, addressed a specially organised press conference to remind Pakistan on `annexation' of the state of Junagadh by India immediately after independence. He demanded that Pakistan take up the dispute with India, and shouldn’t ignore the Nawab family as the third party.

Muslim named man blocked from playing online video game – Ultimate discrimination?

Sheer discrimination! Steam code blocks man with Muslim name

Religious discrimination reached an all-time high, this time striking Muhammad Zakir Khan, who is an assistant professor of speech communication currently stationed at Broward College in Florida. The elderly individual was blocked from signing up for Epic Game’s Paragon beta this weekend. After Zakir Khan had entered his last name in the online submission form, he was met with the following message:
“EpicGames My name is Khan and I am not a terrorist. #Islamophobia”
When being spoken to, Zakir Khan stated that he has never been banned from playing other online games ranging from developers and platforms like Blizzard, Steam and EA’s Origin. A fun fact here is that Epic Games’ primary headquarters is actually located in a region where several Muslims are residing, so for the online submission form to state such a thing can be concluded as preposterous. Hopefully, Epic Games will rectify this little problem in the near future, so that every gamer can enjoy future gaming titles and betas
